The Disadvantages of Western Treatment for Kidney Disease

For the treatment of kidney disease, in western countries, steroid and immunosuppressive drugs are usually the first choice, but patients have a little effect. What is the reason? It is because both of these drugs have the ability of anti-inflammation and immunosuppression. They can eliminate the inflammation within a short time in the kidneys, thus prevent the renal intrinsic cell damaging, controlling the symptoms temporarily. But the renal intrinsic cells are still at the damaged state. Once patients catch a cold and have overworked, the disease condition may relapse and even worsen.

Also, after using steroid treatment, patients will present a lot of side-effects, such as weight gain, bone rarefaction, resistance reducing, blood sugar increasing, gastrointestinal ulcer, electrolyte disorder, and so on. All these symptoms are the results of using steroid treatment.

After knowing the disadvantages of western treatment for kidney disease, we hope patients could choose the correct treatment methods. The earlier treatment is, the better the result is. Never see doctor aimlessly and miss the best treatment time.
